Will the software work over any internet comnnection?
No, you will need a broadband internet service
to use the software. It will not operate over dial up services as they
are too slow.
How do I ensure my modem is set up to allow
the software to operate?
You need to set your modem for NAT or Port Redirection. This is easy to
do and you can download instructions on how to do so here
or contact our support service.
What should I do if my
firewall tries to block my transfers?
If your firewall requests permission to allow transfers you should allow
the requests for all operations.
How can I ensure that no
viruses or spyware are transferred whilst using the software?
It is your responsibility to ensure that your systems are fully protedted
against viruses and spyware and that all files you send and receivce have
been checked for infection. There are a number of anti-virus software
packages available which can perform this function for you. Allegro Computer
Services will not accept any responsibility for any problems caused by
thre transfer of viruses or spyware.
What does the annual licence
fee cover?
The fee covers your use of the central server which connects all the users,
all updates to the software as well as our full support service.
How will I know when my
annual licence fee is due?
You will be contacted 1 month before your licence renewal is due with
full details about how to renew it.
What do I do if I have
a problem with the software?
We offer a full support service and helpdesk - details about how to contact
us can be found here. We may need remote access
to your PC in which case we will ask you to click
here to enable us to connect to your system
